In this 2 hour workshop we will discuss the purposes of the three gluteus muscles in movement and dissect how we walk, stand, and move. Be prepared to work in partners and groups to test muscle strength and flexibility so that you can bring more body awareness into your yoga postures. After breaking down basic yoga postures and looking at how we are using our gluteus muscles in asana, we will flow through a dynamic yoga class with a focus on the glutes! You’ll leave with an refreshing awareness of your body’s tendencies and habits as well as learn how to move your body more effectively in life and on the yoga mat.
